Last night was Scott's last game of the (competative) season which makes it impossible for him to catch Kyle in the MOTM table. That means that young Burrows is this season's Players' Player of the Year! Congratulations to Kyle - he has 7.5 MOTM wins to date which is the most anyone has won in the history of Fitbaw!
Onto last night's game then. Alan's win keeps him in the hunt for a second consecutive POTY (third over all) with only two games remaining. The Mince were deserved winners last night as the Tatties just seemed a little bit slower to most balls and just not quite sharp enough. A frustrating but enjoyable enough game co sidering the rather damp conditions.
Next week Scott and Martie are out but Kyle and Gordo should be back.
The IDOX guys who were playing in the tournament got pumped and didn't make it out the group stage - unlucky looosers!

Last week there was only two goals in it so I've gone for almost the same teams. The Mince are -Gordo but +Alan (statistically an improvement) while the Tatties are -Kyle but +Foxy (statistically an deterioration) so that means it'll be a draw!
Kyle is playing in another tournament representing IDOX - if you work for IDOX and you've not heard about this tournament then it means that either Steven doesn't think you're good enough or doesn't like you or both.
Martie is working and Gordo's not playing as it's his birthday so Happy Birthday Gordo!

Last night's result means that Gordo can no longer catch William. Scott's out of the running too according to my maths but Alan is still in with a shout. If Alan plays the last three games and wins them all, then he can just pip Wills to his third POTY and the first person to win it back to back!

Karma struck a blow for good yesterday when it punished Gordo for trying to hit me repeatedly with the ball by breaking his boots. Did a quick change of footwear to Scott's trainers have an impact on Gordo's game? We will never know.

As for the game, it was close all the way through with both teams holding the lead at some point. Another fine example of everyone trying right to the end which is great to see.
Mathematically, I think it's still possible for Gordo and Alan to win POTY over Wills, I'm not too sure about Scott though. Only four games left to go!
Scott and Wills are starting to have a think about the awards so if you have any input, please drop them an email.

Stuart has to work, Martie has food (alcohol) poisoning and Alan's knee is still injured. Neil is back from holiday, my knee seems OK and Ross is the tenth man.
With Alan away, it's a battle between Gordo and Scott to try and catch up Wills.

Not Si's, but the fight back from 7-1 down to win by three. That's quite impressive lads. By all accounts, it was a good game and everyone seemed to enjoy it so well played to all.
Next week Martie and Neil should be back and we'll wait and see what the knee situation is with Alan and myself.

That's right, Si is playing tonight. His ankle's been better for a few weeks and he's been going out running to improve his fitness, so we'll all be treated to Si charging around the park like a bald golden retriever on speed!
Alan and I are both out this week due to knee injuries from last week, Neil is just back from holiday and so sleeping off his jet lag and Martie got sent to London last minute. Marc and Paul make up the ten.
Have a good game and try make it a draw please!
