Neil and Craig are both away on holiday next week and I'm on baby watch but Gordo should be back leaving one other spot which will probably be Jon or Ross.

I've finally updated the stats as well. Please be sure to vote in the MOTM. A poor showing last week.

A bit more regular

I cunningly managed to do myself out of a game this week - bah! I thought Gordo would be injured after last week's drama - it turned out that he was fine to play but by which time I'd arranged a reserve in the form of Craig. Never mind, my mistake for not checking with Gordo so no game for me. However, this morning, I got a text from Gordo to say he has a cold (awww bless) and can't play! Great! Shit! No kit! So Jon's taking his place.

Enjoy the game and I hope this week it all goes smoothly with no controversy. I'll not be able to play next week as Coco Jnr is due any day at that point and then I'll be off on paternity leave for the few weeks after so I'll see you all at the end of September and I'll leave you with a picture of Callum Ramsey Neil, Scott's wee boy and my new nephew!

I have no idea what's going on

Here's my understanding of what happened. Gordo got injured, went in goals and due to his injury the other team began to come back until there was only one goal in it With only one goal in it and it being close to the end, a shot hit Gordo's injured bit (whatever that may have been) and Gordo dropped like a ton of bricks while the rebound was rattled home to make it even. I believe there's a bit of controversy over how long was taken for the rebound to be scored - we generally do stop for injuries if they seem bad bit I wasn't there so can't comment. At that point Gordo left the field of play and the game stopped early.

Now I wasn't there but here's my thoughts. Whether or not the rebound should have stood, Gordo's team left the field of play before standard Fitbaw regulation time was up (5 minutes max extra time if no one comes on the pitch) so in theory, unless everyone agreed that it was a draw before they left the pitch (I have heard that there was a general consensus to end the game early but I have also heard that Andy refused to leave unless it was a draw), you could argue that the "abandoned" the game, handing the other team the win.

However, that's just silly. I say it's a draw. If the full time had been played with Gordo's team down to 4 men, surely they would have lost? By all accounts, it was a good game so let it be a draw and no one's a loser.

... others just get wet" - Roger Miller

Looks like it'll be a bit damp out tonight lads - enjoy! I'll not be there as I've got hunners to get done in the new house before the weekend so my kitchen can get fitted. Foxy is still off this week as he's been really busy at work. Si's on holiday and Scott's on paternity leave. Gordo, Craig and Jon are all back.

Pitch 6 this week.

Birthday dumps

We were slow to start, got better, look the lead, they pulled it back to level, we took the lead again, they brought it back to level again, then spanked us. Hard.

Gordo, Foxy, Craigo and Jon should all be back next week. Si's on holiday and Scott's on paternity leave.

I'll try get the stats up do date at some point today.

Who's the daddy?

Scott! That's who. Liz gave birth to Callum Ransay Neil at 8.38pm on Sunday 10th August, weighing in at 7lbs 5oz. Mum and baby both home and doing well.

So Scott's out this week. Si and Jon are on a bromance date in Edinburgh, Gordo still has a scab on his foot and Foxy is on holiday. Stepping in are Ross, who's back from his holiday, Allan and Stephan, who played last week.

I don't think there will be teams until much later or even not at all as I'm swamped with work so pleas bring both tops with you.

Short, wet and winning

Not a bad game I thought considering the ramshackle approach to the start of it. A bit wet but everyone kept going all the way through. Thanks to all for turning up and making sure we kept Fitbaw going.

Next week Si and Jon are in Edinburgh, Foxy is on holiday I think but hopefully Gordo, Neil and Alan will be back.

No stats this week as I'm not at work.

There's definitely a game!

There's defo a game but I'm not sure if there will be teams picker before hand. I'm off work this week tearing my new house apart so don't have the time to sort them out. I have left Kyle in charge of Fitbaw but I'm not sure if he'll have a chance to pick teams either.

So even if there are no teams picked, there's definitely a game on pitch seven at 6:30pm and I will see you all there. Please bring both tops with you and please also note that I'll be knackered and covered in plaster dust so I might be best in the Mince team.

The squad is:

- Iain
- Si
- Kyle
- Neil
- Stuart
- William
- Andy
- Craig
- Jon
- Stephan (one of Si's friend's from work - never played before)

PS - I anyone wants to come to my new place and help me tear down some old plaster then they are more than welcome.

PPS - My wee sister still hasn't popped so Scott's still not a dad. The wait goes on.
