The Tatties took the early lead with the Mince chasing and pulling it back to level. They finally pulled it back to a draw at five all and then managed to take the lead. The Mince quickly pulled it back to seven all by full time and only 2 goals right at the end of the game secured a hard fought victory for the Mince men.
Great game last night. We haven't had one that close for a while. Well played chaps.
Martie is off to Lithuania next week to watch Scotland play so I'll give Donny a shout now he's back his holidays to see if he can make it up to ten.

Martie had to pull out this morning as he's feeling a bit crappy and has a sore knee. All the ususal suspects couldn't stand in at such short notice but Si managed to get SEPA Scott to play to make up our 10.

I am knackered! It's a different kind of fitness required to try and mark Steven and after half and hour, I was dead on my feet. That said, I thought the Tatties did well for the first 40 minutes or so to try and contain the attacking of young Steven and his cohorts but then tiredness crept in and the marking got a bit slacker leaving enough room for William and Steven to work their magic.
Add that to the fact that Alan was in goals for 20 minutes and was saving everything we could throw at him mean that our meager lead was slowly turned around. Mind you it was a great game and I thought it was a lot closer than the score line showed.
Next week Karl and Martie are back and as far as I know, no one else is away so an all regulars game next week probably.
I've also updated the stats with a bit more information for no other reason that I had some spare time at lunch yesterday.
Please ALL vote for MOTM and leave a comment. Ta.

Hopefully it should be a good game tonight - it was a nightmare trying to pick balenced teams do we'll see what happens.

Out:
Craig - injured
Creeky - recharging to full power
Karl - Barcelona
Martie - The Raconteurs gig (late call off)
Donny - holiday in the Med somewhere
Tamba - AWOL
In:
Stu - back from Poland
William - the new Donny
Steven - baws
Now I know Steven is far too good for our game but he's just coming back from injury at the moment so is, in his own words, "going to take it easy". I tried Mikey Tamba but no reply. Balencing the teams is going to be quite a task this week!
I'll try get the teams up tomorrow morning again.

All seems well with the site and MOTM and results/stats are up for your viewing pleasure.
Good game last night and close all the way through until the Tatties got a few late goals that made the scoreline a bit flattering to them.
The Boy Stu will be back from the Land of Poles for next week but Karl is off the Catalan Capital for a week's holiday. With Donny of holiday for another week, William has kindly agreed to play again.

I was in early this morning so rather than work, I picked the teams.
Craig is still injured (it looks like it could be some time until he returns) and Creeky, although over his shingles and back to full time employment, is still a bit run down so is going to give it another few weeks to get back to full health rather than risk get sick again.

The Tatties were 4-0 down but pulled it back to 4 all. After that, the Mincers got their second wind and pulled away to 6-4 but the brave Tatties through some nice running from Si and Gordo again managed to get level. After that there just wasn't enough left in the tank to match the Mincers' play and thanks to some wonder shots from that Boy Stu, victory was secured by three goals. Good close game and well played to all. Apologies to my team for just being a bit fecked.
Next week Stu is on holiday, Craig is still injured but could Creeky make a return? He feels better and all his nasty work stuff is now sorted out (well done Creeks), so does he have any more excuses for not playing? We'll see!

Sorry about this chaps but there might not be any teams before the end of the day. I was trying to see if we could get someone to replace me (I managed to bugger up my knees on a run last night but they seem a bit better now) but no luck.
The ten are:
- Martie
- Stu
- Si
- Jon
- Donny
- Karl
- Neil
- Alan
- Gordo
- Me
Please bring both tops and we'll sort it out there (unless I get a chance to sort something out this afternoon). Pitch 7.

The Mince took an early lead but the Tatties fought back and looked to have more goal scoring chances for a period, while the chances the Mince did get were spectacularly missed. However, with only two goals in it, the Mincers grabbed two in a row an despite the continued efforts of the boys on blue, victory was secured.
Next week, Foxy and Neil return to give us ten regulars for the first time in a while.
MOTM is up and it would be nice if we could get a few more than last week's five votes please!
In other news, it's my birthday on the 13th of August so if anyone fancies a beer on Saturday the 12th at Cottiers then it would be great to see you. Any time after 7:30pm. WAGs are also invited of course.

Sorry about the delayed team posting chaps but I've been under the cosh a bit at work. Using the patented coin-flip method (plus some enforced strip selection), the teams have now been posted.
Alan is back from his holiday. Jon is back from his sore ankle. Neil is off to Paris and Foxy is on a training course. Donny and William bring the numbers up to 10.
Looks like rain!
