Quite frankly, it was too damn hot to play Fitbaw last night. I don't know about you guys but I just felt knackered. I'm going to assume that the same went for the rest of you seeing as the movement about the park was minimal!
So onto the game - PISH! It was good to see Creeky back though. Back to his usual striding, hoofing, goal line controversy best!
Next week Foxy is on holiday so as long as everyone else is playing, there will be no reserves and no HoD.

Creeky makes his comeback tonight (yellow gumshield included!) bringing the squad numbers back up to eleven which means that if everyone is fit and available the HoD is also back. Dun dun duuuuuuuun!
However, we have a few absentees this week - Gordo is in Egypt on holiday (but not near where the bomb was so all is OK!), Craigo has some flat stuff to get sorted seeing as he moves into his new pad on Friday (w00t) and Si has a deadline coming up for a photography project he has on. Tamba and Donny will fill the empty boots and teams will go up after lunch some time.
With Si and his pictures and Neil and his writing, maybe there are other ways in which we can advance our World domination plans?

I suppose it had to happen eventually and last night, it almost didn't. After some on the fly team choosing (expertly done as it turns out), the Mincers took an early lead while there was dissention in the Tattie ranks. By the time the Tatties sorted themselves out, there were four goals in it and the game looked lost. Then Foxy decided to have a go and score about a hundred goals over the next ten minutes bringing the game back to level.
From there on in the Mince grabbed a goal and the Tatties pulled one back. This went on right past full time and into extra time - "Was anyone going to come on the pitch?" and "How long is there to play?" were questions poring from the distraught Karl. No one looked to be taking over the pitch so the official regulation five minutes of extra time were to be played.
It was all level at this point until a fine save from Si yielded an unlikely goal for the Mince. Si managed to catch the ball, bounce it off his chest, juggle it in mid-air for a bit, drop it towards the goal line, dive on it to stop it going in, nudged it on and bit, finally pounce on it in a last ditch attempt only to finally shove it over the line for the most spectacular slow motion OG we may ever see.
That was the end for the Tatties as no further goals came and the game was sealed with a punishing strike from Gordo that curled into the top corner from just inside half way. Now go and choose your MOTM from a lot of fine performances.
Next week Creeky makes his comeback and that means that the Hat of Dooooooooom does too! Just to remind you all who is left in the Hat - Iain, Craig, Karl, Si and Neil. If your name comes out then you'll be told on Monday. I shall endeavor to get the teams up before the game next week!

A few folks have asked what the rules are on slide tackles in fives and whether or not they should be allowed. Officially, they are allowed (apprently) but it's our game so we can do what we want. Some people would like to see them banned so I think the fairest thing to do it to have a vote on it - majority rules:
I have no idea what the actual score was last night other than it finished with the Tatties up by three - well played chaps. It was relatively close most of the way, with the Mincers up at the start but then Steve came out of goals!
MOTM is up. Voting has been a wee bit shoddy of late so if everyone could vote and please leave a comment in case Stuart gets upset. I want to see ten votes before the day is out!
In other news, the big will be making him comeback in two weeks! Creeky's teeth are feeling better and, armed with his new yellow gumshield, he'll be back to defend his top spot. I'm sure all of you guys who have Creeks in your FFF team will be delighted!

Teams are up. Jon and Si have OK'd them and everyone else I've spoken to seems happy enough. As always, there is Ringer's Law to take into account - is Steve going to be better or worse than we originally though? Find out tonight on the sand dunes of pitch seven!

Neil has had to drop out of tomorrow's game as he's just too busy - ah the life of a high profile, published author! So, I went round the usual suspects (Donny, Tamba, etc) but all were unavailable. So, we have a new player - Steve! Steve joined IDOX a few weeks ago and plays regular 11-a-sides for a Saturday league team so should show us all up probably.
Si and Jon demanded to be allowed to pick the teams so expect them some time tomorrow.

A similar game to the ones we had two weeks ago last night. The teams were evenly match but one team just managed to put the ball in the back of the net. The Tatties passed the ball about a bit better but the real difference was the finishing. A couple of sneaky ones at the end from Stuart maybe made the scoreline a bit more flattering to us but a good game all in all.
Next week Foxy should have recovered from his ankle-champion-itus (it's a swelling of the ankle that occurs just in time to avoid Fitbaw so the injured person can watch the Celtic v Hearts game. The cure is to watch the game whilst drinking Guinness apparently - hmmm). That'll mean no reserves hopefully.
In other news, my wonderful wife is currently top of the FFF!! I am in third which makes Gordo the filling in our sammich - lucky boy!

Sorry for the lateness of the teams maybe you should all club together and pay me a full time wage to do this so I didn't have to work? No? Ah well!
So, Foxy has a bit of a sore ankle from golf (another crap injury!) so is out this week but will be fine for next week. Si's back is better and Jon returns from his travels. Donny makes up the extra man again this week.
Creeky is still not 100% - his teeth are not great so I think he's going to be resting for a while yet. Alan is now out of his strapping for most of the day and continues to get physio - no word yet as to when he's allowed to play again.
