Finally, Mr Marshal lost a game last night. Controversially of course, but he still lost. When wee Wully joined us, why did we let you guys keep your two goal lead?? Anyway, it's happened and taken Stuart's perfect three down to a rubbish 2.9999999999 ;-)
Good game last night though. Everyone worked hard to the end and it was close all the way. MOTM is up - if you do vote, would you mind leaving a comment so we know who votes for who and why? Ta.

- Craigo is still injured.
- Foxy is unavailable.
- Ponto's ankle is still sore after he went over on it last week.
+ Karl is in again.
+ SEPA David returns for his second game.
Seeing as it was a bank holiday and we only got our 10th player this afternoon, I've just picked the teams this week. Hope all is OK and you all had a nice long weekend off.
Update - Foxy is about today and wants to play. Neil has very kindly agreed to take a wee rest to let Foxy play as Neil's legs are still giving him grief. So Neil out, Foxy in. Teams have been updated.

Great game last night. The Tatties were 6-1 down and pulled it back to level just before the end - top stuff chaps! I think everyone played really well which we needed after the disaster that was last week.
The poll is up so let's see if we can manage more than 5 votes this week.
I've also updated the stats - almost all of us are on less than half points (1.5) - it seems that Stuart has got them all! Points hogging bassa!

Si will be selecting the teams this week for Tom's final game. Alan is back from illness but Craig is still injured and Foxy is moving house. Ponto, of course, is playing and we see the return of young Karl too.
Teams will be up tomorrow at some point.

Well I suppose that happens when you have last minute replacements - the teams end up ridiculously unfair and it turns into a joke. It must be noted that the original teams Neil had chosen were fair and that last night was by no means his fault. With three strikers vs a drunk Martie, we never really stood a chance!! ;-)
So what was the final score? By my count it was two games to one for the Mincers but no idea what to do about the scores. The starting Mince guys can take the points of course.
Next week will be Tam's last game so he can pick the teams (if he wants). If not, Si will take his first shot at selection. Foxy is still off but if everyone else plays, we'll still have 10 players.
MOTM us now up too - sorry for the delay but I as at the dentist. Fun!

Craig's foot is knackered from last week. Alan has the cold. Tom is away. Foxy has sore ribs.
Needless to say that the teams will be changing - check back for updates!
UPDATE 1 - Scott (who most of you will know - Si's SEPA chum) is filling one spot. Hopefully Brian (Martie's RBS chum) will take the other spare berth but that's still to be confirmed. As always, please bring both tops in case we need to sort it on the pitch. Ta.
UPDATE 2 - Brian will not be able to play as he's been selected for jury service and has been told that his trial will run on. Baws. Si, however, has a "maybe" from his work which will be confirmed after lunch. We might make it yet!
UPDATE 3 - Si has confirmed that David can play from his work, who, in Si's own words:
"Will fill the void left by foxy impeccably. Same age, same hair colour. Lovely stuff! He's got a good old footballing brain and will be a defensive stalwart"

Teams are UP - picked by Neil-io! Foxy isn't playing this week as he's still got sore ribs from go-karting. Looks like he'll miss next week's game too. As per usual, The Ponto has kindly stepped in! Thank you sir!

Gordo finally managed to secure a win last night for the first time in 5 games! The Field Marshal remains unbeaten and is now joined by Si up at the top.
Seems that Si is back to full fitness, managing to play out of goals last night. Huzzah! So we now have a full squad again. Tom willl miss next week and the week after will be his final game :(. Neil will be selecting the teams for next week once the squad is confirmed.

You may have noticed that the teams have changed. Big Al canny play tonight but Ponto should be able to play to keep our 11 man thing going. If not, well the Tatties will just have to be knackered.
One other thing - Ye Olde Mince Tops AKA Queen's Park strips. Where are they? If you have one, please let me know.

It seems that we have a full compliment this week, Si included which gives us 11 players. Tom, who is coming towards his final game, might be late as he has an appointment that should finish just before 6pm. Tom still really wants to play and seeing as he hasn't got many games left, I think we should let him.
So my plan is as follows. Tom can be in the same team as Si (who will be playing in goals again). Tom may be up to 20 minutes late but seeing as we have Si, that team will still have 5 men. When Tom arrives, that team will then have 6 players but we can just play with a rolling sub which will allow the players in that team to get the wee rest that they would normally get from going in goals.
As long as everyone takes their turn in going as sub, folk will only be off the park for less than 5 minutes at a time. Plus, the guys in Si's team won't be dead on their feet by the end of the game.
Soon Tom will be gone forever and this situation won't arrise as we'll be back to just 10 regulars. If anyone really hates this idea then let me know or if anyone doesn't want to be in the 6 man Si/Tom team, then also let me know.
Daktar Fox will be picking the teams this week using is cunning "squad" method.

After a thunderous start, the wind dropped out of the Tatties' sails allowing a determinded comeback by the Mincers! Much respec' to the Mince who out scored us in the second half by miles. I think we only scored two goals in the last half an hour or something like that.
Great to have Si back playing, especially since he wasn't due back til next week. Hope the ankle is OK. Thanks also to Chunky for helping out - why are you better at football that rugby?? ;-)
Away and vote for the MOTM please!

Firstly...Welcome back to the one they call the 'Si'. I have tweaked the teams a wee bit as Si will be in Goals prob for the whole match. Tam and Iain you've swopped teams ok!
UPDATE - we'll sort it on the pitch depending on who's got what top and so on.
The Field Marshal will be unable to play tonight after a long night strapped to the lav - the rumour is that he now weighs about 6 stone. Get those fluids down you big man!
That means we are a man down. "Don't worry" I hear you cry, "Brian can still play". Alas, no. Brian forgot he had to go see his dad for his birthday. Pants.
So we're still a man down. Or we were until Sepasi decided to make his comeback a week early and save the day. Si will be stuck in goals all night til he sounds out his ankle so we may have to muck with the teams but we'll just do that on the pitch. Poor Creeky - he goes to all the trouble for the "random team generator" and now they're going get to changed!!
So we have our 10, but only just! Phew!

Craig has flat hunting to do tomorrow and so we're a man down. I've tried to get all the usual suspects and then some but no one can play. I've tried everyone I know who has ever worn a pair of shorts and still no joy. Unless we can get someone tomorrow then it'll have to be a 4v5 situation. If anyone knows anyone who can play then let me know please.
So seeing as we won't know what we've got, could everyone please bring both Mince and Tattie tops with them in case we have to mix it up on the night.
UPDATE!
At the 11th hour, we now have 11 players! I managed to get one of my ruggar mates, Chunky, to play! Hurrah! But 5 minutes later, Martie calls to say that Brian is fit again and able to play! Baws! But on a strict first come, first served basis, Chunky will be making his fitbaw debut! Think of Chunky as a shorter, yet wider Ponto, with all the dazzling skill you'd expect from a rugby full back. :)
