Moonlighting Is A Bad Idea!
I've managed to knacker myself as well!
So I got a call on Friday night from Big Martie to ask if I wanted a game of 5s that next morning. I jumped at the chance. So along I went to meet a bunch of chaps who all looked quite hard (apart from Bert) and who obviously were born with a football at their feet.
Now I thought that with almost 6 months of games behind us, we were getting pretty good. After 5 minutes playing with these guys, I swiftly realised that if we ever played them - even our best 5 against their worst 5 - we'd get a complete humping! Goodness knows how Martie gets a game! ;-)
I had almost made it through the first hour (they normally play for about an hour and half as it's very quiet up there on a Saturday morning) when I was running through for a ball and felt my leg go *twang*! I seem to have strained my hamstring. Not too badly, but I won't be playing this week. I'll hopefully be OK for the next game.
So! Due to the alrady delapidated squad, I'm on the lookout for a replacement. It may be Brian. It may be Martie #2. Either way, they're both a heck of a lot better than me so the teams might need messed about with but I'll let you guys sort that out! I also need a volenteer to collect the money, look after the ball etc etc. Please someone send me a mail or come and see me.

Gaps Plugged!
Despite Craig's best attempts, we've managed to get 10 players!
So Tom's toe is broken and Si's knackered the ligaments in his ankle so they're both out for a while. Luke still can't see and no one's seen hide nor hair of Mikey Tamba while Big Dave still claims to have a sore back - bah!. So, Gordon and George are both going play to make up our 10 men. The teams are now picked!

He's skived off to casualty (the second player today) to have his toe x-rayed. Just look at the size of the thing!

No idea what's happening
Chaps - with all last night's injuries, I'm not sure what's happening with the teams. I'll update it when I know who's fit and who's not. I think Si will be going to the hospital this morning as he was having difficulty walking 5m to the bar after the game.
Mr Barker Snr. is kindly doing the match report this week. It'll go up when he's had a chance to write it. In the meantime, please go vote for your MOTM.

Not too sure of the teams for next week guys - depends on who's available. We are on pitch 6 though which is a proper sized one and NOT the sandpaper we normally play on! Woohoo! Hopefully Si will produce another wonderful match report later.

Alan will not be playing tomorrow as he hurt his neck in last week's game. Young George will make his second outing for the Tatties.

Is it just because he has the same hair do as Vernon Kay? Who knows but Martie is off to Bolton this week and won't be available to play on Wednesday. We replace one hairy person with another - Stuart will be filling in again.
